Founded as Compañía Panameña de Aviación in 1947, Copa Airlines is Panama’s national airline. It offers flights to 80 destinations in 33 countries throughout North, Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.
Due to its stunning performance, the London-based Official Airline Guide named Copa Airlines “The World’s Most On-Time Airline,” and was recognized by FlightStats as “Latin America’s Most On-Time Airline” for the sixth year in a row. In 2018, Copa received the award “Leading Airline in Mexico and Central America” at the World Travel Awards. In 2016, Copa was also honored with three Skytrax awards: “Best Airline in Central America and the Caribbean,” “Best Airline Staff in Central America and the Caribbean”, and “Best Regional Airline in Central America.
Operating for more than 70 years, the airline has established the Hub of the Americas in Panama City as the continent’s leading hub. It has one of the industry’s newest and most modern fleets, with 105 aircraft— 82 Boeing Next-Generation 737s,17 Embraer-190s, and 6 Boeing 737 MAX9.

When you fly with Copa Airlines, you can easily skip long queues at the airport check-in counter by using the online check-in facility at the airline’s website or mobile app. Boarding passes are available for printing between 36 and 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight. For flights from the USA, boarding passes are available between 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight.
