Saint Pierre Cathedral’s was ravaged by vandalism and fire,, few centuries ago and thus is a bit of a disappointment for those looking for a consistent architectural and structural beauty. Jet d'Eau (Water Jet)

The Water Jet is a year-round tourist attraction in Geneva. It is a fountain of water, and the water spewed by its pump rises to a height of 140 meters into the air and sprinkles water in a radius of 0.3 miles. It had started as a an occasional pressure release for hydro-power generation installed on the Rhone River but soon the simple mechanical procedure turned into exhilarating theatrics for the citizens. In 1891, the city authorities gifted the citizens a permanent pumped fountain. Few years later, it was beautifully lit up at night and is continuing the tradition ever since.

The Palace of Nations is the home of the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. It was built in 1938 to serve as the headquarters of the doomed League of Nations after the First World War, and now serves as the home of the United Nations Office. An entry to this grand international monument is marked by two ornate bronze doors that were won as a trophy by Napoleon from his martial campaign against Italy in late 18th century. Other attractions in the Palace of Nations are its Assembly Hall, a large collection of public art (central to which is a Spanish painting), the library, and the landscaped grounds.
