Royal British Columbia Museum
Founded in 1886, the Royal British Columbia Museum is located in Victoria in Canada. The title of ‘Royal’ was approved by Queen Elizabeth II in 1987. British Columbia Parliament Buildings
The British Columbia Parliament Buildings are home to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. They are located in Victoria. These neo-Baroque buildings are hallmarked by two statues - one that of Queen Victoria and the other that of a soldier, the latter stands as a memorial to those soldiers who had laid down their lives during the two World Wars while serving the country. The dome of the central building is topped with a gold-covered statue of Captain George Vancouver, a mid-18th century sailor who was the first to travel around the Vancouver Island. Craigdarroch Castle
Craigdarroch Castle Is the former residence of a local business tycoon, Robert Dunsmuir and his wife Joan. This late 19th century Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion consists of 39 rooms. The mansion was built with a princely sum of $500,000. The Craigdarroch Castle checks both boxes of opulence and magnificence with its ornate period furnishings, stained glasswork and elaborate woodwork. Visitors taking a guided tour inside this four-storey marvel are also wowed with its imported granite, tiles and a custom-made oak staircase.
