Christuskirche (or Christ Church)
The Christ Church (or Christuskirche) is a national symbol and famous Lutheran church in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. It was built after the wars between the German Empire and native tribes of German South West Africa during 1904 and 1908. The church was officially dedicated in 1910 and was then known as the Church of Peace. Christ Church is a classic mixture of three architectural styles- Neo-Romanesque, Art Nouveau and Gothic Revival, and was constructed from quartz sandstone. This 79-feet high superstructure is characterized by its elegant portico (that was made from imported Italian marbles) and colorful stained lead glass windows that were gifted by a German emperor, Wilhelm II.
National Art Gallery of Namibia
The National Art Gallery of Namibia is a state-owned institution situated in central Windhoek. It is a national museum that hosts permanent collections of Arts Association Heritage Trust Permanent Collection. It is the most comprehensive historical visual art collection in Namibia today, and its collection is heralded by a large number of modern and contemporary paintings, graphics, sculptures and traditional African art by mostly Namibian artists.

Daan Viljoen Game Reserve is named in honor of a local South African administrator - Thomas du Plessis Viljoen (1892-1972).
Alte Feste (Old Fortress)
Alte Feste is a fortress and a museum located in downtown Windhoek. It is also the city’s oldest surviving building that was built to serve as the headquarters for the Imperial German Army during 1890 and 1915. Alte Feste later served as the army centre for South African Army in 1915. This defensive fortress was declared a National Monument in 1957 was extensively renovated a few years later and became home to the National Museum of Namibia.
