Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum
Sake is a traditional Japanese rice wine. Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum is a 340 years old, award-winning Sake brewery in Asahikawa that displays historical scrolls, artifacts and older brewing tools related to the brewing of this wine. Visitors here can enjoy a cup of Sake wine for free.
Asahiyama Zoo
Asahiyama Zoo is the second most visited zoo in Japan. Its attractions include Amur tigers, spotted seals, flamingos, and red pandas among others. Also, do not miss out seeing polar bears underwater, seals, and the penguins’ march through a glass tunnel all the way to the pool.
