Castle Hill
Castle Hill is a mile long plateau along the river Danube where a number of medieval monuments are situated. Two of the most famous historical buildings here are Buda Castle (it is the palace of the kings) and Fisherman’s Bastion (it consists of two hundred year old watchtowers and decorative formations). Below the Castle Hills are situated numerous old caves that were formed by thermal springs and are impossible to miss.
Orszaghaz (The Parliament)
Built in 1902 AD, the Hungarian National Parliament building is the largest of its kind in Europe. It is marked by its white Gothic architecture and has 88 statues of former Hungarian rulers, princes and military commanders. Under the Parliament's cupola, the Hungarian crown jewels are exhibited. With guided tours available into the Parliament, you would be expected to book your slots early and to let the guides know of your language preferences. Vajdahunyad Castle
Vajdahunyad Castle is a castle in Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1896 AD to mark one thousand years of the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895 AD. The castle is a copy of other landmark buildings built during different times in different parts of the world, and therefore has different architectural styles at different places. Today the Vajdahunyad Castle houses the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, the biggest agricultural museum in Europe.
