Cheap Gjoa Haven Vacation Packages

The only settlement on King William Island, Gjoa Haven is a small town in Nunavut (Canada). It derives its name from an Inuktitut word that means ‘lots of fat,’ thus referring to the abundance of sea mammals there.

Gjoa Haven is your go-to point for admiring Arctic history, polar Tundra wildlife and natural scenery besides pursing fishing, snowmobiling hiking, skiing, camping, bird watching and know more about this place’s historical and cultural heritage. You would be in for a real treat here during the warmer months (i.e. April and May) when you can pursue adventure sports sans much difficulty and also enjoy a two-week long cultural event called the 'Qavvavik Frolics' that features drum dancing, throat-singing, traditional Inuit games and culinary arts.
