The park is a protected area of over 100 square kilometers area of land and sea. Angthong National Marine Park is also a home to a varied assortment of exotic wildlife and sea creatures.

Big Buddha:
Located on the northern coast of Koh Samui, Big Buddha Shrine is perhaps the most well known landmark of Koh Samui. This 12-meter high golden Buddha is visible from several kilometers away. In the interior of the surrounding temple, there are numerous different shrines and other smaller ornate Buddha. Inside, there is also a small market selling an immense array of lucky charms and other souvenirs.

Mummy Monk in Koh Samui:
An unusual site yet offering a unique insight into Thai and Buddhist culture, Mummy Monk is the body of most famous mummified monk in Samui- Luang Pordaeng. Luang Pordaeng died more than 20 years ago and his body was placed in a specially designed glass case. This Mummy Monk is on display at Wat Khunaram in Koh Samui.
