Cheap Lampedusa Vacation Packages

Lampedusa is the largest island of the Italian Pelagie Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. It is the southernmost point of the country and is strangely closer to another country- Tunisia than it is to its compatriot Sicily. Lampedusa is known for its superior beach experience that mostly revolves around its golden beaches, aquamarine waters and typical Italian delicacies. Along the same note, visitors often take a liking for the most famous beach here- the Rabbit Beach, which was voted as world’s best beach by a leading travel site few years back. Another star attraction of this beautiful Italian island is its flora and fauna like a North African plant that looks like a cactus and only occurs on Lampedusa, and the whip snake and Eleonora's falcon.
Places of Interest in Lampedusa
Spiaggia dei Conigli (the Rabbit Beach)
You would be disappointed if you’re coming here for rabbits, for it has almost none of them. Spiaggia dei Conigli is actually the gold standard of an Italian beach. It is known for its warm, shallow, aquamarine waters that look simply stunning under the sun. It instead has a number of turtles that come in here for hatching their eggs during the summertime. The beach is mostly excused of human interventions and gets overcrowded only in August and September, until then it is a visitor’s delight.
Cala Pulcino
If Spiaggia dei Conigli is the king, then Cala Pucino should be the queen. It is located in the southern part of the island, close to the iconic Rabbit Island. It is known for its picturesque canyon, powdery white sand and turquoise sea waters. You should also take time to visit the caves and ravines in a nearby village. Cala Pucino is a one-stop point for both trekking and sightseeing in Lampedusa.
Lampione
Located less than 25 kms from the island of Lampedusa, Lampione is a small uninhabited island with steep cliffs. Its scenic beauty and an extensive range of flora and fauna make it a hot cake among all seasons, most famous of which are its spectacular underwater attractions like the great white sharks and fin whales.
