Cheap Prague Vacation Packages

Prague is the capital city and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is famous for its unique medieval architecture and well-preserved aesthetic beauty. This magical city of bridges, cathedrals, gold-tipped towers and church domes looks melted in the Vltava River during the sunsets. The city had been almost remained undamaged during Second World War and is now a wonderful mix of a history and aristocracy. Prague is also a modern and vibrant city full of energy, music, cultural art, fine dining and special events, thus checking all the boxes for a traveler’s fascination in this beautiful country.
Places of Interest in Prague
Charles Bridge
Few bridges in the world would come close to match Charles Bridge’s utility, history and superstition- all at the same time. Completed in fifteenth century, it was a replacement for an older twelfth century bridge that was used to cross over the Vlatva River and to connect Prague Castle to Old Town. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them being in baroque-style. One of them is the statue of the saint, John of Nepomuk. Touching the statue is a more of a ritual here than a superstition. It is supposed to bring good luck and would ensure that you return to Prague soon.
The Jewish Quarter
The Jewish Quarter in Prague, known as Josefov, is located between the Old Town Square and the Vltava River. It derived its name from the noble-minded Emperor Josef II, whose reforms improved the prevalent sorry living conditions for the Jewish there. You should visit Josefov's Old-New Synagogue which is is the oldest preserved synagogue in Central Europe. It was built in the late thirteenth century in Gothic style and is known for its intricate stonework and original interior furnishings.
St. Nicholas Church
The Church of Saint Nicholas is a Baroque church in the Lesser Town of Prague. It was built during 1704-55 AD on the site where once another Gothic church of 13th century stood, dedicated to Saint Nicholas. The newer church is also regarded as ‘the most impressive example of Prague Baroque’ and ‘the greatest Baroque church in Prague’ due to its architecture and decorations. A stellar attraction here is a Baroque organ which was played by Mozart in 1787 AD. Mozart's spectacular masterpiece, Mass in C, was also first performed here.
