Repulse Bay, also known as Nuujaat, is the topmost region of the Arctic Circle in the central Nunavut. It is also the only North American community in the Arctic Circle. Ukkusiksalik National Park of Canada: This national park is around 145 kilometers away from Repulse Bay. Depending on the climatic conditions, one can opt to reach here via flight, boat, dog sledge, or snowmobile. There are hundreds of archaeological sites which preserve the history of the region. The park also serves as a habitat for variety of animals and birds species like polar bear, fox, wolf, harp seals, snowy owls, ravens, snow geese, and rough-legged hawk.
