Arch of Augustu
The oldest known Roman triumphal arch in Italy, Arch of Augustus is located at the southern end of Rimini's main street. This arch was erected in 27 BC in order to commemorate the construction of the Via Flaminia. Arch of Augustus is unusual due to the fact that its extra-wide opening cannot be closed by the doors hence highlighting the peace after the long history of wars.

Tempio Malatestiano
Erected on an earlier medieval church, Tempio Malatestiano houses the tombs of members of the Malatesta family, which was the ruler of the city in the 13th century. The facade of the monument is inspired by the Arch of Augustus. The interior of Tempio Malatestiano is finely decorated with frescoes displaying Sigismondo Malatesta kneeling before St. Sigismondo.

City Museum
Located in a former Jesuit Monastery, City Museum features over 1500 works from prehistoric period to the present. The museum is popular for its assortment of Roman mosaics and for one of the best collections of pharmaceutical and surgical equipment dating back to ancient times. The exhibits in the museum are arranged chronologically and include sculptures, bronzes, coins, glassware, ceramics, and surgical equipment. The art gallery at the museum boasts masterpieces from the 14th century Rimini school.
