American Rose Center
Dedicated to various varieties of roses, the Gardens of the American Rose Center are America’s largest botanical gardens and are located in Shreveport. The gardens has 20,000 different kinds of roses like the newest rose hybrids, All-America Rose Selections, miniature roses, single petal roses across sixty-five individual gardens. It is open from March to October, from eight in the morning till five in the evening and entry here is free.
Shreveport Municipal Auditorium
The ninety-six year old Shreveport Municipal Auditorium is where you should head for watching sports, touring acts, live concerts, graduation ceremonies, family shows and debutante balls in Shreveport. This iconic auditorium is known for its Art Deco architecture and top-notch acoustics. With a seating capacity of three thousand, this 6,300-square-foot arena is widely acknowledged for being the take-off point of Elvis Presley’s career.
Louisiana's Science Center
Louisiana's Science Center is a prominent science and entertainment center in Shreveport. It has a nearly 300 Science, Mathematics and Space exhibits that are held at preset times in an IMAX Dome Theatre. The star attraction here is an interactive Laser Space Dome Planetarium that has a 16 megapixel Laser Projection System to let visitors see and admire the universe they’re living in.
