Jama Masjid

One of the most photographed monuments in the city, Siddi Sayed Mosque is located on the northwest corner of Bhadra Fort. This mosque is famed for its intricate latticework over the yellow sandstone. The major attraction of Siddi Sayed Mosque is the twin jails on the western wall that showcase intertwining of tree branches.

Sabarmati Ashram

Sabarmati Ashram, famed as the second home of Mahatma Gandhi, is a Spartan colony of tiled houses. The site boasts historical importance as this was the place from where Mahatma Gandhi orchestrated the final struggle for independence. Visitors can witness Gandhi's cottage named as Hriday Ashram. Sabarmati Ashram also puts on display Mahatma Gandhi's personal items such as round eyeglasses, letters, wooden slippers, and books.

Kankaria Lake

The largest lake in the city, Kankaria Lake is located in the southern part of Ahmadabad. This beautiful lake is an excellent picnic spot for families. The lakefront has been developed into an entertainment zone boasting a zoo, kids’ city, toy train, water rides, tethered balloon ride, a water park, food stalls, and a number of other entertainment facilities.
