Matira Beach

One of the few public access beaches in Bora Bora, Matira Beach is extremely popular tourist attractions in the island. The water at the beach is crystal-clear and the sand is sandy. The beach is replete with resorts, eateries, and shops, hence making it a convenient place to enjoy an outing. Sunset view from this beach is simply fascinating!

Mount Otemanu

An extinct volcano at the center of the island, Mount Otemanu towers 2,400 feet above the lagoon. This mountain offers a dramatic photo opportunity to adrenaline junkies. Those who do not feel comfortable in hiking this mountain can take a helicopter to explore it. Visitors can take a boat tour in order to click snaps with this beautiful volcanic remnant. 4 by 4 jeep tours are also very popular among visitors to reach the top of this mountain.

Coral Gardens

Located on a small islet just east of the main island, Coral Gardens boasts gorgeous coral reef which is not far below the water. All the visitors need to do is to bring the snorkeling goggles. Visitors are also recommended to bring water shoes or aqua socks to save their feet as there is coral not the sand thus making it a bit rocky inside.

Vaitape

A beautiful city in archipelago of Bora Bora, Vaitape offers a break from exploring marine life and swimming so that visitors can grab some grub and enjoy shopping at the local shops. For those who want to explore the marine life can go to Bora Bora Lagoonarium located in Vaitape. Beneath the surface of the lagoon, visitors can spy turtles, sharks, rays, and several kinds of ocean fishes. Moreover, one can also enjoy a lot of other perks such as a canoe tour of the island or a barbeque picnic.
