Yuma Territorial Prison
Opened in 1875, the Yuma Territorial Prison is a former prison located in Yuma that now serves as a historical museum called Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park. It had accepted its first inmate on 1 July 1876 and the number swelled more than three thousand times over next 33 years. This ghastly number was inclusive of some of the most gruesome offenders of 19th and 20th centuries who were charged with counts like murder, felony and polygamy.

Bridge to Nowhere (or the McPhaul Bridge)
The Bridge to Nowhere is 800-foot suspension bridge that was built in 1929 and was known to have served as a model for the Golden Gate in California. The bridge was abandoned after a dam was built over upstream 40 years later, resulting in the river and motorized traffic being routed over a much smaller bridge. It is closed to all pedestrians and motorized traffic ever since.
