Dhaka

Bengal. Many palaces and mosques belonging to the Mughal era are still
here. The old city of Dhaka boasts 17th-century Lalbagh Fort that features
a museum of paintings, decorative arts, and weapons. History buffs must
visit the National Museum to learn about Bangladesh’s religious, political,
and natural history, and should also take out time to explore graphic
displays at the Liberation War Museum displaying the horrors of the 1971
War of Independence.
Chittagong
Chittagong is a port city located on the south-eastern coast of the
country. There are numbers of museums in the city making it an apt place to
visit for history buffs. The Ethnological Museum features exhibits on
several ethnic tribes living all across the country. Located inside the
former Old Circuit House, Zia Memorial Museum puts on display items
belonging to former president Ziaur Rahman, assassinated on the site in
1981. Architecturally beautiful Chandanpura Mosque boasts many brightly
painted minarets and onion-shaped domes. Located at the northeast of the
centre, Chittagong War Cemetery includes hundreds of graves of Commonwealth

Sylhet
Sylhet is located in eastern Bangladesh. Perched on the bank of Surma
River, Sylhet is famous for its Sufi shrines. Most popular among these
shrines is the ornate tomb and mosque of 14th-century saint Hazrat Shah
Jalal. This mosque is now a major pilgrimage site near Dargah Gate. In
addition, the city is also home to several museums. The Museum of Rajas
boasts belongings of the local folk poet Hasan Raja. The Osmani Museum
feature several exhibits related to General Osmani, who was the
commander-in-chief during the Liberation War. Wildlife lovers can head to
Khadimnagar National Park, located farther northeast of the city. It is a
forested area featuring trees like mahogany and teak, and several walking
trails. In the north of the park is Ratargul Swamp Forest that can be
explored by boat during the monsoon season. Located in the south of the
city, Lawachara National Park boasts trekking routes and wildlife such as
leopards and gibbons.

Weather-wise, the winter months between November and February are the best months to take Bangladesh flights. During these months, the weather remains pleasantly cold and ideal for sightseeing.
