The Mevlana Museum or Mausoleum of Rumi is a must visit in Konya. The site is the resting place of well-known Sufi saint and thinker Rumi. The museum features old manuscripts, handwritten Koran copies and various musical instruments used during Rumi’s time.

Built during the during the rule of Alaaddin Keykavus in 1285, the Sahib-i Ata Külliyesi was destroyed in 1871 but renovation regained its grand old touch. Watch out for the grand doorway with built-in minaret.

Built artificially Alaaddin Hill lies in the heart of the city and serves as a park. Apart from relaxing, you can also explore the relics of an old palace and the e Alaaddin Mosque. The park also has many picnic spots.
