Shungnak is a city in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, United States. It is also known as Isinnaq or Nuurviuraq in Native Inupiaq language, and the word ‘Isinnaq’ implies Jade, a semi-precious stone found nearby. Shungnak is located at 66°53?09?N 157°08?15?W, and lies in the Alaskan Time Zone (AKST/AKDT) besides observing daylight saving time. The city is served by a state-owned public-use airport called Shungnak Airport (IATA: SHG) that offers scheduled flights to Ambler, Kobuk, Kotzebue through the airline service called Bering Air.
