The Rooms

The vast collection here includes more than 7,000 works of art, archives and artefacts of historical and cultural significance. Many temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year.

Bowring Park

Located in the Waterford Valley, Bowring Park is among the most scenic parks in St. John’s. Spread over 200 acres, the park offers visitors many recreational facilities. Tennis courts, a playground, a duck pond and a swimming pool keep the visitors engaged here. Several statues line the entire park. The highlight is the Peter Pan statue found near the entrance.

Cape Spear Located on the Avalon Peninsula, Cape Spear is the easternmost point in North America. Originally home to the Beothuk people, it is a part of the East Coast Trail today. Since 1836, Cape Spear has had a lighthouse. A Canadian gun battery was stationed here along with barracks and underground passages during World War II. Visitors come here to visit the National Historic Site and bunkers, gun barrels, and lighthouse.
