Top Attractions in Xiangfan

Located in the southeastern part of Xiangfan, Wall of the Green Shadow is city’s famous landmark with a height of 7 m and width of 25 m. Built in the 15th century, the green-stoned walls with white marble edges look superb. Watch out for bas-reliefs showing more than 100 dragons in different poses.

The grateful city pays tribute to its legendary calligrapher son Mi Shi at the Temple of Migong Si. The temple features several works of the calligrapher.

People interested in learning about Daoist culture must visit the Zheng Wu Shan Temple. The temple is not big in size but it’s very much an active Daoist temple, run by dedicated Daoist nuns.

The Han River crosses the city and the riverfront area offers a lot of excellent walking and hiking trails. The riverside area is also ideal for picnicking and photography.
