Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
The Vizcaya Museum is situated on the Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove
neighborhood. It is the former residence of James Deering and was built in
1916. The Museum is an Italian Renaissance-style villa and a National
Historic Landmark. The 50- acre estate includes impeccably landscaped
Italian Renaissance gardens with elegant French and Italian sculptures and
fountains. The Museum houses European decorative art and furnishings from
the 15th through 19th century.
Design District
Miami’s Design District is right next to the hip Wynwood District. The
upscale District is lined with several clothing and decor outlets, modern
furniture stores, and boutiques. The presence of the most luxurious
retailers has made this district a shopping hub. In addition to high-end
shopping, there is much to explore here. Many art venues, chic bistros, and
celebrity chef restaurants are located in the Design District. The
highlight here is the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), which displays
temporary exhibitions and has an open-air sculpture garden. The Design
District has an array of offerings in terms of design, fashion, art, and
gastronomy.
Best Time to Visit Miami
The best time to book flights from Guayaquil to Miami is from December to
May when the weather is comfortable to hit the beach. Popular events like
Miami Open, Coachella and Miami Beach International Fashion Week take place
during this period. It is advised to book Miami flights in advance to avoid
paying more at the last minute.
