One of city’s most popular sea-front areas, Via Risorgimento can only be explored on foot as no vehicle is allowed here. While walking you will come across graceful 19th-century merchant houses which aptly sum up island’s past glory. Few of these structures have been completely revamped and they look stunning. The street also offers a lot of boutiques.
Located on the northern coast of Salina , The area of Malfa is the place where settlers from Marine Republic of Amalfi entered Salina in 12th century. This ancient area is dominated by the Church of the Immacolata which hosts the celebrations of the feast of St. Joseph on March 19. Watch out for the structural design of the church.
In the western part of Salina lies the neighborhood of Pollara. The neighborhood hosts the festival of Sagra del Cappero in the first weekend of the June right before the church of Sant'Onofrio.
