Angouleme Cathedral: is a famous religious building and a seat of the Bishop of Angouleme. The front of the Cathedral has more than 70 carvings on it. These carvings have been beautifully designed keeping in mind two themes, the Ascension and the Last Judgment.
Museum of Angouleme:
The museum lies by the side of the Angouleme Cathedral, in the centre of the city. Museum houses collection of numerous archaeological, ethnographic, and artistic pieces. It also holds various exhibitions and conferences from time-to-time. The museum was revamped and was reopened on 1st March 2008, and is opened from Tuesday to Sunday for the visitors.
Les Bateaux Rouges:
It’s a perfect place to have fun with family and friends. One can hire an electric boat/bikes or pedal boat and can ride on the Charente River. Depending on the climate one can also enjoy delicious food either on the boat or on the bank of the river.
