Charminar
Charminar is synonym of Hyderabad like Eiffel Tower is of Paris. The building was constructed by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591, and comprises four magnificent minarets, which are around 48.7 meters high. Charminar features nearly 45 prayer rooms and a mosque. Visit the place in the evening when it is all lighted up and bright.
Golconda Fort
Located in the western part of Hyderabad, Golconda Fort is located about 9 kilometers away from Hussain Sagar Lake. Golconda Fort was originally a mud fort under the reign of Rajah of Warangal. The first three Qutb Shahi kings rebuilt the entire fort over a span of 62 years. The fort is renowned for its beautiful palaces, smart water supply system, and Fateh Rahben gun.
Mecca Masjid
Mecca Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the world. It is also amongst the oldest buildings in Hyderabad. During Muslim festivals near about 10 thousand men pray here. The main hall of the building is nearly 75 feet high, 220 feet wide and 180 feet long. Masjid is listed under heritage buildings and is located in close proximity to Chowmahalla Palace, Laad Bazar, and Charminar.
