A serene little village located around 10 kilometers from Fiskardo, Assos is built on a causeway connecting a hilly peninsula to the mainland. Visitors can reach Assos by driving down a series of hairpin bends to the site where this beautiful village nestles in an immaculate harbor bordered by seafood eateries. There are a couple of pebble-beaches located in proximity to Assos where visitors can enjoy swimming.
Myrtos Beach
One of the most photographed beaches in Greece, Myrtos Beach is located close to Assos on the northwest coast of the island. This beach is backed by limestone cliffs and boasts turquoise blue waters of sea. It is a two-kilometer-long-seashore offering stunning landscape. The strong currents in water make it important for visitors to be a confident swimmer if they want to enjoy swimming here.
