The city of Kastoria lies on the western shore of Orestiada Lake in the West Macedonia, Greece. Anargiri Church
Agii Anargiri is one of the largest churches in Kastoria , and is said to be constructed around 10th century. The church has been devoted to the physicians who used to treat people for free or "for no fee" (anargiri). Though built in 10th century, some of the frescoes within the church are from 11th and 12th century.

Agios Stefanos Church (St. Stephen's Church)
The St. Stephen's Church was constructed in the 9th century. The closed porches surrounding the church on two sides are from 16th century. Also there are frescoes from 12th century. One can find partially preserved frescoes in the upper section of the narthex and other parts of the church.

Panagia Mavriotissa Monastery
The Panagia Mavriotissa Monastery has been constructed with twin churches in the Macedonian architecture. Amongst the two, The Church of the Virgin (Panagia) is prominent. The exterior south wall of the church is decorated with frescoes dated back to 13the century. The depiction of the Last Judgement can be found inside the narthex. Some walls have been decorated with the 12th century frescoes. In the 16th century The Chapel of Ioannis Theologos the Evangelist was added to the monastery.
