Cheap Nottingham Vacation Packages

Nottingham is a birthplace of the legendary archer Robin Hood who is fabled to have the highest regards for women and had compassion for the weak and oppressed. You should visit this city for its centuries old enigmatic charm that relates to its greatest hero, Robin Hood, and Sherwood Forest, the place where he used to live.
Places of Interest in Nottingham
Nottingham Castle
Spoiler Alert: The name is a misnomer and that the original castle was burnt down in 1831 AD during British Civil War. Post that debacle; it was remade into two museums in 1875 AD. You should visit it for the city’s first municipal art gallery, some beautiful gardens, historical artifacts (that date back to sixth century) and most importantly, a bronze statue of Robin Hood.
Sherwood Forest
Sherwood Forest is a natural reserve that attracts almost a million tourists every year. Central to the reputation of this iconic forest is the Major Oak, a thousand years old oak tree that is famous as the legendary hideout of Robin Hood and his band of outlaws. This place is at its best during sunny mornings and should be explored by walking or cycling. Another prominent attraction here is the thirty year old Robin Hood Festival. Please note that entry here is free.
Newstead Abbey
Remember the mystifying poem, ‘She walks in beauty?’ Yes, we’re talking about Lord Byron. Newstead Abbey was his ancestral home. Located twelve miles north of the city, this historic place is well worth a visit. A little further away is located the Hucknall Church where Lord Byron was buried and his tomb is in the church which is situated close- by.
