El Panecillo
El Panecillo is amongst the major landmarks of the Quito. Here lies a huge statue of Virgin of Quito, built from 1955-1975. The statue of Virgin of Quito has a crown of stars, angelic wings, and a chained dragon. The natives claim that Virgin of Quito is the only statute of Virgin Mary in the world with wings.
El Museo Francisco
The museum lies in the Convent of St. Francis and is home to some of the finest collection of artworks. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, and some of the furniture from 16th century. The cost of guided tours in the museum is also included in the admission fees.
