Lake Bemidji State ParkIn Lake Bemidji State Park, exciting 11 miles of easy to moderate trails take visitors through beautiful areas of maturing aspen, pine, and hardwoods. The hike on the trails of this park can offer visitors a glimpse of a doe with her fawn, an occasional glimpse of black bear or wolf, or a porcupine halfway up the jack pine. In the park, two miles of trails are wheelchair accessible as well. There is a Rocky Point Overlook, located inside the park, offering magnificent view of Lake Bemidji. This point is one of the most popular attractions of Lake Bemidji State Park. The Rocky Point Trails continues along the lakeshore and gains in altitude as it soars to a bluff where visitors can explore the observation deck full of exhibits and benches.
Watermark Art CenterLocated along the downtown waterfront area of Lake Bemidji, Watermark Art Center is a historic art center that is home to a plethora of painting, photography, art, and fine craft exhibits and workshops all round the year. The center displays national, regional and local artists in solo shows, group exhibits, and installations. Visitors can also explore gift shop selling unique household handcrafted items, jewelry, fine art, sculptures and more.
The Sanford CenterThe largest entertainment space of Bemidji, the Sanford Center is a 185,000 square feet venue with 4,700 seat multi-purpose facility. The Sanford Center is home to the Bemidji State Beavers Division I Hockey program. The center also hosts a varied entertainment schedule of family shows, exhibitions, and concerts. The Sanford Center boasts more than 30,000 square feet of convention space with on-site catering for weddings, meetings, reunions and banquets. It is the premier event venue of the city.
