Phoenix is the capital and the most populous city of the U.S. state of
Arizona. Settled in 1867, it became the capital of Arizona in 1889. The
city is half vintage and half cosmopolitan because it features some genuine
19th century ghost towns and period cowboy saloons. It is also
home to over 200 golf courses, top-end shopping hotspots and many major
basketball sports teams and arenas. Visitors can visit here to enjoy its
outdoor attractions and recreational activities, and to enjoy its
traditional Mexican food.
