Honolulu, the capital and largest city of the state of Hawaii in the United
States, is the most remote city of its size in the world. It is the main
gateway through sea to Hawaii and the United States. The city had played a
major role in the Second World War and is ever since home to numerous
strategically-significant military defense zones of the United States Army.
Though, for those attracted to beaches and Caribbean music and typical
seafood culture, Honolulu is an excellent place to visit. Sea lovers get
enchanted with its beautiful crescent-shaped beaches. The city is also home
to the remnants of Pearl Harbor that was destroyed by Imperial Japanese Air
force in the Second World War.
