Walt Disney World Resort is a world-famous entertainment complex located
near Orlando. It is spread across 27258 acres and is home to 4 theme parks,
2 water parks, nearly 30 themed resort hotels, 9 non-Disney hotels, many
golf courses, a camping resort, and scores of other entertainment hotspots.
Kennedy Space Centre
The Kennedy Space Centre is where all astronauts and scientists go to pay a
visit, regardless of their age. Located about an hour's drive away from
Orlando, this state-of-the-art NASA astronomical facility is home to many
rockets, simulated astronaut experiences, 3-D IMAX films and a
heart-wrenching account of NASA’s failed missions and lost heroes.
Universal Studios
The Universal Studios is a brainchild of noted Hollywood director, Steven
Spielberg, who wanted to put up a combination of movie studio and theme
park to the visitors. It features two different theme parks called
Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure. The former
is where you get to see the insides of movie studios while the latter
offers a more adrenaline-pumping approach with its thrill rides.
Best Time to Visit Orlando
Winter season (the months from December to February) are the best to book
your flights from New Orleans to Orlando. Booking flights from MSY to ORL
during this season will help you to enjoy Seven Seas Food Festival at
SeaWorld Orlando, Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl and Downtown Food &
Wine Fest. It is advised to book Orlando flights in advance to avoid paying
more at the last minute.
