Indianapolis is the capital and most populous city of the US state of
Indiana and the seat of Marion County. It is in the East North Central
region of the Midwestern United States and is the third most populous city
in the Midwest region. The city is nicknamed the ‘Crossroads of America’’
because many of the country’s national highways called Interstates meet
here. Some major highways meeting here is 65, 69, 70, and 74; while 465
touches the city’s outer perimeter. As such, Indianapolis is a popular

Eagle Creek Park and Nature Preserve
The Eagle Creek Park and Nature Preserve in Indianapolis is known as one of
the largest municipal parks in the United States. It is an oasis in the
middle of the city because it features 1400 acres of water and 3900 acres
of dry land cultivated with lots of local flora. One can visit this park to
spend some time with nature and to enjoy some time sailing, windsurfing,
bird watching, hiking, swimming, fishing, biking, and walking.
