Neighborhoods to Book a Hotel in Ljubljana
Located in the southern-central part of Ljubljana, the neighborhood of Krakovo was a fishermen’s colony earlier. The neighborhood is fondly called the Ljubljana Montmartre as being home to Impressionist painter Rihard Jakopic and others. You will find a small but effective gathering Roman ruins in the Jakopic Garden. For some natural views nearly flowing Gradacica Canal is an excellent choice.
Lying in the heart of Ljubljana, Mestni trg is home to some splendid structures like the Town Hall and the 15-century Rotovz with an ornate gothic courtyard. Depicting three rivers of Carniola, the Robba Fountain looks gorgeous. Enjoy a stroll along the column-lined Cobbler's Bridge suspended above the river.
Being an important part of Old Ljubljana, Gornji trg houses the Church of St. Florian, Ljubljana’s finest medieval structure featuring superb Baroque facades. A few other points of interest of this neighborhood are the enormous Gruber Palace the Church of St. James with a giant bell tower.
