A city in the US state of Alaska, McGrath is located on the south bank of the Kuskowim River. McGrath organizes Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Rage every March. Innoko National Wildlife RefugeAccessible from McGrath by air, Innoko National Wildlife Refuge is a national wildlife refuge located in western Alaska. It is the fifth largest national wildlife refuge in the country. The topography of the refuge is swampy and is nestling area for birds including red-tailed hawks, ospreys, bald eagles, northern hawk-owls, common ravens, trumpeter swans, short-eared owls, and many more. Mammalian species that reside this refuge are wolf, brown and black bears, mink, Alaskan moose, Canadian lynx, porcupine, marten, river otter, beaver, wolverine, red fox, and muskrat.
