The National Museum of Anthropology
Built in 1964, the National Museum of Anthropology is situated within the
city's main park, Chapultepec. The museum is an example of contemporary
architecture and its entrance has a huge monolithic figure. It is famous
for magnificent displays of old Indian art treasures. The collection here
includes archaeological findings from extinct Indian cultures and details
of the lifestyles of contemporary Indian inhabitants of Mexico.
Bosque de Chapultepec
The Bosque de Chapultepec is the main park in Mexico City. It was the
temporary home of the Aztec empire after its citizens migrated to
modern-day Mexico City. It is divided into 3 sections and is home to
several attractions. Situated here are the presidential residence, the
former presidential palace, a zoo and several museums including Museo
Nacional de Antropologia (National Museum of Anthropology). Apart from
these, the park also has military monuments and effigies of Aztec kings, an
amusement park, green spaces, and more.
